OVERVIEW

Charles Perry of EPRI-PEAC, chair of 1159.1, opened the Summer meeting of the 1159.1 Task Force on September 11, 2003 at 10:00 in the Moreno Room of the Hyatt Center in Dallas, TX. 23 members were present and approved the minutes from the Winter 2003 meeting. The Draft 1.4 was emailed to the members, and also distributed at the meeting.

The majority of the meeting was spent on word-smithing the document. Those changes are summarized as:

• Convert style from UK to US English, including reference sag (or dip) in one place.
• Change to Recommended Practice versus Guide.
• Scope to reflect PAR Scope
• Addition to time synchronization
• Proposed definition of “power quality”
• Refinement of DC equivalent voltage

The goal is to finalize the word-smithing of Annex at the Winter in San Diego in January 2004, and be ready for balloting by the fall. Meeting was adjourned at 11:45.

ACTION ITEMS

• Randy Collins to provide additional wording for DC equivalent voltage sections
• RPBingham to distribute revised document within two weeks
• Membership to provide comments on document by December

· RPBingham to produce minutes from meeting.
