IEEE P1363 Study Group for Future Public-key Cryptography Standards Meeting Summary (Unapproved) Thursday, March 8, 2001 MITRE, Bedford, MA * The study group will expire at the end of March 2001. * With the exception of producing and voting on a PAR for a registry of public-key cryptography techniques, there are no further items planned for the study group. * David Stern offered to serve as editor of the registry process document. * Singer will continue to communicate with the IEEE and the MSC to determine the logistics of the registry project. If the project can be formalized, the group will vote to start a new project on the registry. * If possible, an e-vote will be conducted before the next meeting to approve the PAR for the registry. * Agreed that the desired set of documents will mirror the ITS Data Registry (std 1489-1999). 1) Operating Procedures (not a standard) 2) Format Standard (a standard) 3) Registry (must be paid for to access)
