The IEEE P1363 Working Group will hold a working group meeting in Miami, Florida, all day on Thursday January 9th and on the morning of Friday January 10th. The venue will be the Hyatt Regency Miami, which is also the venue for the PKC 2003 conference on January 6-8. The meeting is open to the public. There will be a meeting fee of $10 per half day to cover IEEE expenses, charged to members and non-members. It will be possible to teleconference in for the meeting. Attendance by teleconference will count as attendance for voting purposes, and people who attend by teleconference will be asked to pay the same meeting fee as physical attendees. We're currently trying to negotiate a special rate in the hotel for attendees at the meeting. It may be possible for attendees at PKC to stay the extra night at the PKC rate, but this has yet to be confirmed. The agenda will be announced closer to the meeting, but will certainly cover the following: * P1363a ballot status * P1363.1: revisions and recent results * P1363.2: revised version, discussion, selection criteria for techniques to be included * Group plans: P1363b, registry * Additional presentations on matters of current interest in public-key cryptography. If anyone would like to add any items to the agenda, please mail myself (wwhyte@ntru.com) and the Secretary, Ari Singer (asinger@ntru.com) with details (title and length of time required -- typically 25 or 45 minutes). P1363 has traditionally welcomed new research contributions of any type related to the study of public-key cryptography, and most meetings have one or more presentations on subjects of interest to the working group. I've already received notification of some presentations that some people would like to give, but more are always welcome. If you are likely to attend, please let me know by email for planning purposes. Some useful links: PKC 2003 home page: http://www.sait.fsu.edu/pkc2003/.
