Study Group for Future Public-Key Cryptography Standards IEEE P1363 Working Group: Standard Specifications for Public-Key Cryptography MEETING NOTICE Wednesday, March 7, 2001, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (study group and working group) Thursday, March 8, 2001, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (working group) Friday, March 9, 2001, 8:30am - 5:30pm (working group) MITRE 202 Burlington Road #B155 Bedford MA 01803 These meetings of the Study Group for Future Public-Key Cryptography Standards and P1363 working group are open to the public. At the study group meeting, we will primarily discuss the P1363 Public-Key Techniques Registry. We need to come to a consensus on how we will proceed with this. In particular, we intend to focus on starting a project on "Procedures for the P1363 Public-Key Cryptographic Techniques." This will be the last physical meeting of the study group and on March 31st, it will no longer be in existence. All attendees of this meeting are considered to be full voting members of the study group. At the P1363 working group meeting, we will review the first drafts of P1363.1 and P1363.2 and the latest draft of P1363a in detail. We are working towards the completion of P1363a. We will discuss future plans with P1363a, and directly related activities including starting work on P1363b. The group will entertain presentations and discussions about topics considered for P1363 standards and discuss the next steps for starting the P1363b project. Please see the IEEE P1363 working group bylaws for membership and voting procedures for the working group. (http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/1363/) The meeting will be hosted by MITRE.
