New Work Assignments Following discussions at the November meeting and with the chair of IEEE MSC, Dave Gustavson, the addendum to the standard, (see item 6 on the Agenda) will include advanced cryptographic techniques, and will be balloted separately from the main document. (In contrast to the previous discussions, however, it will supplement the main document, rather than supersede it.) Details on the proposed addendum will be posted on the working groups' mailing list and web page prior to the meeting. The meeting will be held at the University Conference Center, 241 South College St., Auburn, Alabama (334-821-8200). There will be a meeting fee, which will include an IEEE fee of $60 for the three days and which will also cover meeting expenses (exact amount to be determined). We recommend that a car be rented in Atlanta; then Auburn is an easy 90 minute drive along I-85 south (take exit 51 to Auburn University, College Street). A limousine service is also provided by Dixie Excursions (334-887-6294) from Atlanta, but reservations must be made prior to traveling.
