Title: 1363.3 submissions and organizational update
Folks,
Guido Appenzeller has headed to the greener pastures of engineering management, and I am transitioning in as the new CTO of Voltage. As part of this change, I’m picking up Guido’s duties as editor of 1363.3, along with Hovav Shacham and Mike Scott. One of the things to do will be to firm up editorial responsibilities and who is responsible for what, now that there are some submissions and work can begin in earnest.
Right now, we’re entering the home stretch for submissions, with the closing date being August 15th. Submissions are welcomed either for full pairing based protocols, or the algorithms that compose these protocols. The August meeting will be used to hear presentations on the submissions, decide on criteria for inclusion in the standard, and decide on the work plan to produce the first draft. I’ll send a proposed set of agenda items in the next week or so.
