Teseda TRC file
Bruce was confused by the way the syntax was presented in line for the SystemCharacteristics blocks and by reference for the others. It was agreed that the syntax should follow BNF conventions with a reference to syntax that is defined elsewhere. AI - Tony to improve syntax in 11.1.
What us the purpose of the SystemCharacteristics -> MultipleSites statement? From an ATPG perspective it is irrelevant - ATPG should not care how many devices are tested in parallel. From an ATE loader it is also irrelevant - the ATE software knows what it is capable of. The importance is in flow #3 (see Overview, Fig 1) - i.e., tools that schedule/prepare for test application. It was also pointed out that "-1" can be used to signify that there is no limit to the number of multi-sites (except as may be determined by physical resources, like tester channels).
What is the purpose of PatternCharacteristics -> CoreUsageReady statement? The direct answer is that it is intended to indicate support/creation according to the rules of dot6. The document is not clear enough about this reference. This led to a discussion of the need to indicate which of the dot extensions are supported/used by the tester/tool? A new statement should be added for this purpose (AI - Tony).
The second issue from the above discussion was to identify which sub-set of the entire STIL repertoire are used - of which the core test subset as defined in dot6 is one. This group felt the need to ponder this until the next meeting, but there was a strong sense that the sub-set definition (as defined in stilusers meetings) should be formalized in dot3.
