From: Ernst Wahl [ejwahl@agere.com] Sent: Tuesday, February 11, 2003 9:15 AM To: stds-1450-4@majordomo.ieee.org Subject: stds-1450.4: Syntax Working group, Don Organ and i have been discussing 1450.4 syntax and semantics for a while now but not much of what we discussed has made it into the official document. I note that people are chomping at the bit to start coding use cases and so i've recorded an updated version and am submitting what i have so far in the form of four attached ASCII files: ExampleCode.asc, Defaults.asc, Syntax.asc, and Keywords.asc. What is new are defaults, relationships which enable more code reuse, and some language features i needed to be able to write meaningful Use-Case code. The syntax remains true to Jim O'Reilly's diagram and the inheritance structure i had proposed. For the most part, this is a superset of the official document although there are some unavoidable differences. ExampleCode.asc contains the beginnings of Dave Dowding's Use Case #1 and Jim Moseley's Use Case which i've arbitrarily numbered 3 (i made it through InitFlowGroup). -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Ernie Wahl Agere Systems Tel: 610.712.6720 Computer-Aided Test 22F-218B, 555 Union Blvd Fax: 610.712.4235 Allentown, PA, 18109 Email: ejwahl@agere.com -----------------------------------------------------------------------
