Discussing Use
Cases:
Dave had sent out an
initial proposal - consisting of a format and an example. Suggestions to combine
the Assumptions and Prerequisites into a single section.
Proposal - we accept
this form for our use-cases, consisting of the following sections: Priority,
Assumptions/Prerequisites, preconditions, task/scenario (the actual use case),
Results/Post-conditions, Alternatives, Questions, 1450.4/STIL Syntax Example. It
is expected that some of these fields will be blank or non-applicable in some
situations.
Proposal is
accepted.
Here are some quick
thoughts on possible use-cases:
- A simple (hello
world?) functional test.
- A single,
straight line flow (production worthy).
- Speed-binning
- loops in a
flow?
- flow-through
binning
- using a reusable
constructs as a custom test from an existing test
- initializing the
program
- powering up/down
devices
- loadboard
checking
- characterization
- debugging
- a "hook" into
user-written custom code.
Agenda for next
week.
