Welcome to the P1453 Voltage Flicker Task Force

This task force PAR is to develop a recommended practice for a measurement protocol and limits for voltage flicker.  In order to better coordinate with other definitions, a PAR revision has been requested to change the title from Voltage Flicker to Voltage fluctuations.

Draft 9 is now available.  This should be the last ballot before final approval and will be circulated soon

Results of the previous ballot are: 

Members:    70

Returns:    55, 78% of members

Approve:    47, 96% of eligible voters

Disapprove: 2, 4% of eligible voters

Abstain:    6

Manufacturers of instruments and meters that measure flicker are encouraged to implement the IEC approach for 120V lamps for future use in countries with 120V standards.
