Meeting Minutes

IEEE IAS Annual meeting, St. Louis, MO

Monday, Oct. 12th, 1998
  1. Larry Conrad opened the meeting, there were 6 in attendance.
  2. Minutes from the San Diego PES Summer Power meeting were not reviewed.
  3. Chairman’s report: The UIE Report and Draft 1 of P1453 are password protected on the IEEE web site. Some discussion ensued concerning use of these documents by the Illuminating Comm. An action item (Action 30) was added to implement use of TF documents by other WG’s and liaisons. It was also decided to post the TF PAR on the web site (Action 31). A discussion followed concerning the definition of dV/V as used in section 4.1 of Draft 1 of P1453.

  1. Chapter drafts for the TF’s ’99 Summer PES meeting turtorial should be sent to Mark Halpin by Nov. 1st. A tentative outline with responsible parties is listed below:

  2. Larry showed the TF an IEC standard which had been adopted by another IEEE TF.

They basically included an appendix to document changes to the IEC document and then inserted the IEC document in its entirety. This approach seems to be best for the TF in place of the TPAR. Mark will draft the wording of the document (Action 32). Larry will provide Mark with information that will be included in the CD for completion by Dec. 1st, 1998.

  2. The next meeting will be held at the IEEE PES Winter Power meeting in New York.
  3. The meeting adjourned at 5:15PM.
