This project is open to all.  A call for volunteers has been widely circulated within IEEE, throughout the transportation and communications industries and via the Internet.  Ideas and Input from everyone will be considered and accepted based on consensus of the members.  A variety of working groups and task forces are formed to complete the work.

Interested parties are invited to volunteer at mvedr@ieee.org

There are two Co-Chairs for P1616.

Tom Kowalick, professor at Sandhills Community College, Pinehurst, North Carolina and President of Click, Inc.

Jim Hall, international transportation attorney and former Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB)

The WG Officers are Secretary Tony Huffman, and Treasurer Dr. Robert McElroy of McElroy Associates.

A Temporary Secretary  will be appointed by the Co-Chair (in the absence of the Secretary) to assure that the meeting minutes and recorded and official documents are archived on the website

The Working Group Chairs and Task Force Leaders will change throughout the Project based on short-term work goals.
