[P1619-2] XCB-AES text for .2 draft
Hi,
David McGrew and I have put together text and pics for the section on
XCB-AES of the 1619.2 draft. We'll drop this into the std IEEE
template, but we wanted to have something ready before the Dec. 4th
conf. call, next week. David is preparing text vectors that will be
added soon.
Can we set some time aside in the agenda to look over this and capture
comments/suggestions?
Here are a few things that we should discuss:
- std is crafted for variable length data unit. Is that ok or we want to
restrict to fixed size?
- we have used fixed tweak of 128 bit like in .0. Is that ok?
- XCB-AES is defined for 256 and 512 bits key (as in .0), but uses a
single key instead of 2. Do we want/need 128?
