FW: presentation to T10
Sent
earlier today to an incorrectly defined "SISWG". Hope this works
better.
Pursuant to interest
expressed at the SISWG meeting in Milpitas, I asked T10 leadership if they would
like an introduction to the work of SISWG. They responded positively and
suggested a presentation of 15 minutes to half an hour on the goals and
general approach of the design SISWG is developing. They felt
that the Commands, Architectures, and Protocols (CAP) work group would be the
right venue.
CAP's next meeting
is the afternoon of Tuesday May 4 and all day Wednesday May 5 in
Seaside, California (just north of Monterey). Admitted that this may be a long
trip for a short presentation, but if there is a SISWG member who is planning to
attend T10 or who can commute down from San Jose for part of a day to give this
introduction, it would be greatly valued. I'm sure that CAP would adjust its
agenda for the convenience of the presenter, should travel be an
issue.
Is anyone able to
pursue this opportunity? It may also be an opportunity to exchange views with
the T10 folks on some issues SISWG has raised recently, such as modifiable block
lengths, 16-byte block length granularity, and finding space for a
crypotographic authenticator.
