P1619 Key backup format document
All,
Below is a revised version of the Key Backup document. I revised it based
on input from the last group review (in April), and Clement added details
on XML encryption formats and references for encrypting the keys (thanks!).
There are at least three specific issues we should close before the f-2-f
meeting:
1. Is the suggested Preface acceptable? should it be extended? I suggest to
include the same paragraph in all P1619 documents.
2. KEY_SCOPE_START and KEY_SCOPE_LENGTH : Clement reminded me that we
wanted to extend to 128. Shai, is this the case for EME?
3. Should there be a standard field for STORAGE_TYPE (e.g. tape)? Serge,
any input?
4. Requirement regarding referencing the KEK (should, may?).
Either send your inputs or bring them up during the pre-meeting call that
Jim is organizing.
