I have patched Linux' hard disk encryption module dm-crypt to be able to deal with tweakable cipher modes. Further, I added LRW to CryptoAPI, Linux' internal cryptographic framework. For those interested, it's available from http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel.device-mapper.dm-crypt/621 These modifications should be included with official Linux sources in about 2 months (..at the moment my efforts to push LRW, are blocked by the absence of LRW test vectors). On Linux, LRW is also slightly faster than CBC. Regards, -- Fruhwirth Clemens <clemens@endorphin.org> http://clemens.endorphin.org
