[STDS-P1619] PAR for a revision to IEEE 1619-2007 submitted to IEEE-SA

Hi Folks,

The proposed project authorization request (PAR) for a revision to IEEE 1619-2007 has been submitted to IEEE-SA.  Here is the message from the submission:

The PAR for P1619 - PAR for a revision to existing Standard 1619-2007 - Standard for Cryptographic Protection of Data on Block-Oriented Storage Devices has been received by the IEEE Standards Department.

A notification has been sent to the Sponsor for this PAR. In order for the PAR to be considered by the New Standards Committee (NesCom) at its 10 September 2009 meeting, the Sponsor chair MUST review and accept the PAR submittal. A decision must be made by 31 July 2009.
