Environmental
Assessment Standards Committee (EASC)
The
EASC is the sponsor of the IEEE 1680 Family of Standards of the IEEE
Computer Society.
The
scope of the IEEE EASC is to develop and maintain environmental
assessment standards for electronic products, and to recommend practices
and guidelines that include key concepts and implementation procedures
relating to reduction or elimination of environmentally sensitive
materials, materials selection, design for end of life, life cycle
extension, energy conservation, end of life management, corporate
performance, packaging and other environmental areas for electronic
products approved by the EASC.
