[IEEE_ISSAA] Nominations Sought for Standards Award
All,
Please think about potential candidates for the Hans Karlsson Award (HKA).
The HKA committee is seeking nominations for 2007, and all materials
must be submitted on or before September 15th.
If you know of anyone you believe is deserving, please submit a
nomination. Two endorsers are required, but more may submit
endorsements.
Eligibility is limited to present or past participants in IEEE
Computer Society (CS) Standards activities.
Established in 1992 in memory of Hans Karlsson, chairman and father of
the IEEE 1301 family of standards. A plaque and $2,000 honorarium are
presented in recognition of outstanding skills and dedication to
diplomacy, team facilitation and joint achievement in the development
or promotion of Standards in the computer industry where individual
aspirations, corporate, and organizational rivalry could otherwise be
counter to the benefit of society.

I realize that there is a tiny pool of potential candidates,
especially when limited to CS standards activities, but the only hope
of identifying a good candidate is to search the personal knowledge of
others such as you.
