"Recommending practices for modulating current in High Brightness LEDs for mitigating health risks to viewers"

Our Purpose:

Bring together a community of lighting environmental psychologists, lamp designers, LED (Light Emitting Diode) driver designers, medical experts, and LED lamp users to 1) discuss concerns for modulating frequencies (flicker) in LED lighting and 2) provide recommended modulating frequency (flicker) practices to aid the LED lamp design in different applications. Our goal is to provide fair and unbiased information on health effects of flicker in LED lighting.

Recommended Practice:

The Recommended Practice has passed ballot and became available for purchase in June 2015:

IEEE Power Electronics Society
