You are cordially invited to present ongoing work on protocol design,
analysis and performance evaluation for PLC networks. In the workshop
ample space will be reserved for discussions: each presentation (30
minutes) is followed by a 15 minutes discussion. Two invited talks by
internationally renowned speakers will introduce into open areas for
research on PLC topics. Presentations will not be copyrighted; therefore
further publications are not infringed.


Topics:

Contributions may cover narrowband or broadband PLC techniques as well as
access networks or in-home applications. Submissions should address one
of the following issues:

- PLC system architecture
- PLC network design methods and tools
- PLC network optimization
- Medium access control
- Cross-layer design
- Protocol performance evaluation
- Protocol simulation
- Performance measurements
- Applications and services on PLC systems
  (AMR, grid management, home automation...)
- Co-existence mechanisms

Extended abstract (2 A4 pages, PDF):  27 Jul. 2007
Notification of acceptance         :  31 Jul. 2007
Workshop                           :  6-7 Sep. 2007


Organization:

The workshop will be held at the premises of the Technische Universitaet
Dresden. Dresden is both the half million people baroque capital of
Saxony and the microelectronics center of Europe with AMD, Atmel,
Infineon, Qimonda, ZMD, and others co-located. The workshop fee will be
100 EUR.
