| Hello everyone. P1902.1 has now entered the balloting stage and should become an issued standard in March of 2009. Our current status is that the balloting group has been finalized and the initial balloting period of 30 days will open this week. The IEEE is holding a webinar on Wednesday this week on the balloting process and how to submit a ballot. Members of the Working Group are invited, as are the members of the balloting group. Details are attached below. After the initial balloting period ends (about October 24th), we will need to reconvene the working group either in a teleconference or via email to review the comments made by the balloting group and agree on the changes to be made to the standard to resolve any issues raised by the balloters. After the initial ballot, there probably will be one or more recirculation ballots, where any changes we make to the spec are reviewed by the balloters. In all, a couple of teleconferences in November should be all that is required to finalize this standard. Your support in the creation of this world wide standard has been very much appreciated and I look forward to talking to you again in November. - Rod Rod Gilchrist P1902.1 Co-chair Visible Assets Inc (416) 407-7879 Begin forwarded message:
