Comment Tool

In order to manage comments, corrections and other changes to the drafts, we will shortly begin using a comment entry tool linked below.  This is a key part of forcing ourselves to be more formal in dealing with comments about the drafts. 

Either the ZIP file or the self-extracting EXE file should be downloaded and then run.  If you use the ZIP file, be sure to honor the embedded sub-directories.  Once you have installed all the files, you should run the only .exe in the directory into which you installed this application.  Sometimes the first time you run the application, it will ask you for a user name and password.  If it does, simply blank out the fields and continue.  Be sure to fill out ALL applicable blanks on the comment entry form.  Incomplete comments may be discarded.  When you have completed commenting on a version, you should export a "comments.csv" file and e-mail it to the address listed on the "finish" screen.  The results from everyone are then imported into an Access database where we can then do comment review and resolution. 

As we progress the drafts and re-use the tool for subsequent drafts, don't forget to clear out the old comments for the previous draft before entering new comments.
