[2600] status of PP-B validation
The latest word from BSI is that they have completed reviewing the APE
report and are finishing up reviewing the ETR report. They plan to write
their certification report and have everything done by the end of
October. There have been no further comments, so we are moving forward
to get PP-B, PP-C, and PP-D into the IEEE RevCom approval cycle for
December.
Here is a little schedule:
* WG vote on updated drafts of PP-B/C/D: soon
* 10-day sponsor ballot recirculation of PP-B/C/D: soon thereafter
* Submit PP-B/C/D to RevCom: by October 19
* BSI completes its certification report: end of October
* RevCom meeting and (I assume) approval of PP-B/C/D: December 7-9
* IEEE editing and publication cycle: 4-6 months
* PP-B available for free download as an IEEE standard and validated
PP: April~June 2010
* PP-C and PP-D available for purchase as IEEE standards: April~June
2010
I will send a separate email with details of the updated drafts.
