754R agenda item for ides of march

If the previously-requested agenda item to adopt 2006-03-07 as the
754R working draft succeeds, I request a subsequent agenda item
to discuss and vote on the following motion:

Remove references to Counting Mode under alternate exception handling
and reinstate the scaled product functions as proposed in
 http://754r.ucbtest.org/ballots-2005/withdrawn/scaledproduct.pdf

Rationale: counting mode is an implementation technique rather than
an end-user-programmable feature. The programmable features are
the scaled product functions. The whole thrust of alternate exception
handling is to move from implementation techniques (flags and traps)
to end-user-programmable features.
