Subject: [Stds-754] are all the email lists dead as well as 754r.ucbtest.org?

I ask because
(1) I've seen no notice about the post Thursday's style review draft
being made available
and
(2) I can't download the version at
http://754r.ucbtest.org/drafts/754r.pdf to check for myself.
Thanks,
Roger

        Could be.

While I can ping 754.ucbtest.org I cannot download from it.

I AM able to get to our IEEE page at
http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/754/ so perhaps the IEEE list
        is working.

The last draft I have is the one we used going INTO Thursday's
        draft review.

The last note I have from the oakapple.net list (which I can
also ping) is one from Fred on Friday at 5 PM which I include
here together with its audit trail headers.

It could be that the problem is bigger than just us. A quick
looks shows that I can download from yahoo & google but not
the IMDb. Southwest airlines & lbl.gov are also OK.

Now that I look at it, I cannot ping host-52.oakapple.net.
Or server-f.oakapple.net. I think you may be right that this
system is down. (The IMDb thing may be an unrelated problem.)

If so, then the IEEE list is still working.

If so, then: Steve, please post the output from Thursday's style
review (if you have not already done so) as well as a note to
the effect that this is done. If you posted it to Dave's site
at oakapple.net, please post it elsewhere as we are having some
        difficulty with that site.

Anyone with access to David Hough might let him know of our
        situation.

I apologise, folks. Such is the nature of unrealiable channels.

        Standards or not...

Hope things are cleared up by Wednesday.

        Until then,

                                    Dan

These motions were tabled at the last meeting and are at the head
of our agenda this month. The text of the motions has not changed.
They still reference http://dvjames.com/esync/dvjTables2006Jul12.pdf
However I see that David James has posted a revised paper on
his web site at http://dvjames.com/esync/dvjTables2006Jul19a.pdf
A cursory glance shows that he has fixed some of the omissions
that concerned me in the previous draft. Would he please care to
confirm that he intends the new paper as a friendly amendment to
his motion?

Fred
