I will be out of town Aug 29-Sep 6, and so will just be barely back in
time for the Sep 7 meeting, and so will not be as prepared as usual.
You should make sure that you can do whatever you need to do as if I weren't
present, e.g. the patent slides, agenda, draft, motions etc to be projected.
I will attempt to be prepared.
Are we going to meet on WEDS Sep 20 and THURS Sep 21 as planned at Sun?
It is still our plan to hold this meeting Wednesday and/or
Thursday 20/21 at Sun in Menlo Park. I would still like you to
be our host. If this is going to be a problem, let me know ASAP
& I will try to arrange for another venue.
I don't recall whether Kahan was coming on Weds any more.
Conference rooms are in short supply now, so I'd like to free up any we
won't be using.
I hope the system upgrade is going smoother.
By this note you can see that I am back on the air after 4 days
of hacking I'm never getting back again. My system seems to be
running at the moment. The mail & Internet link are up. I can't
say much about Apache or other things.
But the net effect is that I'm back to OpenOffice 1.1.4 so would
someone create an SXW file from the current draft & post it
somewhere where I can download it so I can make the edits we
agreed to Tuesday & Thursday?
My Debian expert suggests it may still be possible to upgrade to
OO 2.0.3 in spite of the fact that it is considered unstable but
I am disinclined to attempt it again given what it just cost me.
So I will be sticking with OO 1.1.4 for the near future at least.
It may take me the better part of the weekend to get my edits
done but I'll do my best to have them available by Tuesday.
Enjoy your vacation. See you when you get back.
Take care...
Dan
