to that!

Hmm, my experience of IBM mainframes in the 1970s was characterized by how 
much more reliable (and repeatable) they were compared to every other 
computer I had used before.  And they still are -- just today I logged 
into my VM/CMS account and ran a program I last compiled in 1977 (the STET 
editor) and it worked just as it always did.  Same binary, much newer and 
faster hardware -- but it still ran, 30 years after it was compiled.   I 
wish that same attribute applied to some more recent programs I have 
written for some other platforms...
