expression evaluation
In eliciting comments about my proposed rewordings of expression evaluation
in 754R, I've unleashed quite a bit of commentary about the whole idea.
For those who may care, expression evaluation, including a recommendation for
a reproducible mode, was originally added to the draft as normative
sections E and W in

and was finalized by the 754R working group as non-normative annexes B and C in
http://754r.ucbtest.org/drafts/archive/2006-10-04.pdf
Its present form in the unpublished BRC draft
is little changed from that, except those annexes are now labeled normative.
A difference in the drafts up through 2006-06-28 is that they contain
"purple prose" records of some of the discussions pro and con.
