Curiously, I asked just this question back in March:

There were a number of replies, some copied to the list and others
sent privately to me. The conclusion was indeed that the Standard
doesn't specify it, and nobody seemed to have overwhelmingly
strong feelings about what was preferable.

But there probably aren't many groups implementing, or planning to
implement, decimal transcendentals. Perhaps those of use who are
should try to agree on a de facto standard?
