Re: Binary128 - PI and E

William M Klein <wmklein@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> asks for correctly-rounded
values of E and PI in the binary128 format.

Here is what I have:

% maple
read("hex.map");
MAXBITS := 113;
dtoh(Pi);
                     "+0x1.921fb54442d18469898cc51701b8p+1"

dtoh(exp(1));
                     "+0x1.5bf0a8b1457695355fb8ac404e7ap+1"

For the decimal128 format:

evalf(Pi, 34);
                      3.141592653589793238462643383279503

evalf(exp(1), 34);
                      2.718281828459045235360287471352662

The hex.map file is my own; it is available on request (off list)
to any readers.
