The 802.15 Task Group 4e is issuing a "Call for Officers“. Task Group 4e (TG4e) was created by the IEEE SA’s approval of a PAR to create an amendment to IEEE 802.15.4-2006. The intent of the proposed amendment is to enhance and add functionality to the 802.15.4-2006 MAC to a) better support the industrial markets and b) permit compatibility with modifications being proposed within the Chinese WPAN. The PAR for the proposed task group is captured in document (15-07-859-03-0000). The Task Group officer roles for consideration are: Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Technical Editor. Individuals who wish to be considered for a TG4e officer role should respond with their intent by March 16th 2008 to Pat Kinney, acting chair (pat.kinney@ieee.org) with a copy to Bob Heile (bheile@ieee.org), WG chair. A vote to determine officers will be held at the IEEE 802.15 Plenary Meeting in Orlando, Florida 16-21 March 2008.
