IEEE802.15.THzIG is issuing a Call for Contributions in
accordance with document 15-08-0060-01.
Of particular interest are contributions discussing any of
the following (or similar) topics:
- What communications
applications, including needed infrastructure, might use THz?
- What technology would address
THz?
- how are transmitters,
receivers, and antennas realized?
- What is the coverage range and
possible bit rates?
- What is the regulatory status?
- When is this going to happen
in the market?
- Will there be a standards
effort and when?
- What is the current research
status?
- Who is doing the research?
- Coexistence with imaging and
other existing THz technologies.
- To include the identification
of existing and emerging non-communication THz applications and other
interfering sources.
- How is receiver sensitivity
measured and what is a realistic value?
- What is a realistic
transmitter power value now and what is the prediction 5 to 10 years from
now due to technology evolution?
- Are there interoperability and
standards with other high bandwidth interfaces? (i.e. Fiber optics).
- What are the passive
scientific bands and where are they.
- What are applicable modulation
techniques?
- What is the status of work on
a THz channel model?
