Title: FW: [STDS-802-11] Co-located coexistence among 802.11, 802.15, and 802.16 devices
Please review 15-08-0384r0 for motion to approve sending liaison response prepared by 802.11/15/19 members this afternoon. An email reflector under 802.19 will be set up to allow everyone access to the discussions.
Regards, John

Co-located coexistence among 802.11, 802.15, and 802.16 devices
Dear Stuart and Bob,
The 802.16 Working Group took note of the IEEE 802 Tutorial of 13 November 2007 on “WPAN/WLAN/
WWAN Multi-Radio Coexistence”:
Noting that the focus of the tutorial was on co-located interference, the 802.16 WG would like to inform you
that 802.16 members have been developing solutions relevant to this problem and have been proposing suitable
mechanisms for incorporation into the P802.16Rev2 draft. We are aware of related work in the 802.11 Working
Group, particularly in its 802.11v Network Management Task Group.
We are seeking your interest in developing an organized project team to review the relevant activities in our
Working Groups. We would like to see the various techniques considered for compatibility to ensure that they
work effectively together.
The 802.16 Working Group authorizes its Chair to coordinate with the 802.11 and 802.15 Working Groups to
identify interested participants and encourage interactions. We envision a simple email list getting started in the
next few weeks and discussions shortly thereafter. We are open to teleconferences announced to that list as well.
I would appreciate it if you have the possibility to let us know before the end of March if you are interested in
participating.
Regards,
Roger
