[802.15-GENERAL-LIST] Registration for the October 2009 IEEE SCC21 P2030 meeting is now open!



802.15 members and interested parties.

FYI-  This relates to the IEEE P2030 SmartGrid activity.  Some of you may have interest in attending.

Dear Colleagues,

The next meetings of the IEEE Standard P2030 Guide for Smart Grid
Interoperability of Energy Technology and Information Technology
Operation with the Electric Power System (EPS) and End-Use Applications
and Loads Working Group and associated Task Force Groups are
scheduled for October 27  October 29, 2009. Task force meetings will be
held on Tuesday, October 27 and Wednesday, October 28, and the P2030
Working Group meeting will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2009. The
meetings are being hosted by IBM at the Thomas J. Watson Research Center
in New York.

The IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center is the headquarters for IBM Research. The Watson Research Center in Westchester County, New York spans two sites: the main laboratory is in Yorktown Heights-Ossining and additional Watson Research Center buildings are in Hawthorne.

The meetings are being held at the following locations: 
-    Hawthorne - Task Force 1
-    Yorktown-Ossining - Task Force 2; Task Force 3; and P2030 Working Group.

There will be no onsite registration, therefore pre-registration is required for planning purposes. There is no charge for the meeting; morning breaks, lunches, and afternoon breaks will be catered on-site, also courtesy of IBM.

All attendees must register for the meetings using the on-line registration service, no later than Monday, October 19, 2009.

Attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements and hotel reservations. The meeting notice and agenda posted on the P2030 Logistics Web page are provided to help you make those arrangements.

The P2030 project is being sponsored by the IEEE-SA Standards Coordinating Committee 21 (SCC21).  Any individual interested in shaping the P2030 smart grid guide is welcome to attend.

NOTICE: Discussions on the proposed SCC21 Policies & Procedures and the IEEE P2030TM/Draft 1.0 Skeletal Outline  will take place at the P2030 Working Group meeting on Thursday, October 29, 2009. We encourage you to download the documents posted on the P2030 Mentor Web site and review the documents prior to the meeting.
