To All IEEE 802 Members & Attendees:
The November 2009 IEEE-802 LMSC Plenary Session will be held at the
Hyatt
Regency Atlanta (on Peachtree Street) in Atlanta, GA during the week
of
November 15-20, 2009.
This information update contains the following information:
* Plenary Session Registration information for the November
Plenary.
* Hotel Reservation form for mail or fax (you may also reserve your room
on
the web or by telephone).
*Hotel Reservation Fax Form and Information on rental-car group
discounts
available for IEEE 802 attendees in the PDF attachment.
All working groups along with tutorials and calls for interest will
be
meeting at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta (on Peachtree Street). The
city of
Atlanta offers a wide array of dining options, cultural exhibits, and
site
seeing, shopping, and nightlife making it an exciting venue for
IEEE-802.
The Hyatt Regency Atlanta is situated within walking distance of
numerous
cultural destinations such as Peachtree Center Mall, Georgia
Aquarium,
Georgia World Congress Center, AmericasMart, CNN Center, Phillips Arena,
and
Georgia Dome. The city and beyond are all moments away by car,
MARTA (Metro
Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority), or taxi.
Session Registration: Any individual who attends any part of a
meeting that
is a scheduled part of an 802 Plenary Session must register for the
full
session. Registration is available through a secure website or at
the IEEE
802 Registration Desk on-site. Session registrations are not
transferable
to another individual or to another plenary session. If you web
register
for an IEEE 802 session and then are unable to attend, you must
request
cancellation of your registration before the cancellation deadline to
be
eligible for a refund of the fees paid. See detailed info on
Registration/Cancellation on the web portal at the link below.
We strongly encourage web registration for this session, as it will save
you
much time spent waiting in line at the On-Site Registration Desk.
In
addition, if you register on the web during the pre-registration period,
you
will save $100.US. For the November Plenary Session, the web
pre-registration fee is $400.US. Web pre-registration closes at 6pm
PDT,
Friday, October 30, 2009 (UTC Time: Saturday, October 31, 1am).
After that
time, the registration fee is $500.US for both web registration and
on-site
registration. Web registration requires valid credit card
information for
the payment of the registration fee; checks are NOT accepted for
web-registration.

IEEE-802 Group Hotel Rate:
* $145.00 US single/double occupancy per night plus applicable taxes*.
* Taxes are currently: 15% Room Occupancy Tax
Dates the group rate is available: November 5-30, 2009 (based on hotel room
availability).
Reservations cut-off date: Saturday, October 31, 2009 (Book early - Rooms
are limited !!!).
Cancellation Policy: No charge when reservation cancelled prior to 6pm EST
of arrival date.
Guaranteed Check-In Time: by 3 pm EST Group Check-Out Time: by 1 pm
EST unless extension requested and approved

Hotel Parking (Valet Only):
Hotel guest: $27.00 US/day (tax included) with unlimited In & Out
privileges.
Non-hotel guest: $27.00 US/day (tax included) but with NO In & Out
privileges.

The Hyatt Regency Atlanta is 12 miles from Hartsfield Jackson International
Airport (ATL). From ATL, you have a variety of options including MARTA
(Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) to the hotel. For more ground
