802.17 Interim Meeting Minutes

Minutes:
 
    * Meeting started at 11:10 am EST.
    * Yan Wang presented proposed 802.17c documentation structure
        - identifying clauses needing update
        - identifying content to be added/changed at a high level view
    * Rafi Ram presented summary of PIRC operational
        - state machines and processes
        - common terminology proposed
        - this was a single summry of ideas and proposals already presented by Rafi in previous meetings
 
    * Action Items:
        - John Lemon to post presentations to 802.17 web site.
        - Committee members asked to review Rafi's proposals for consistency with feature objectives outlined for PIRC in May 2007 Interim
        - Rafi Ram to codify statemachine pseudo code as 802.17 style State Tables with appropriate notes for each row to convey design intent
            + use 802.17 framemaker template for ease of integration/amendment of current document
            + define terminology used.
            + This work will form the first draft of Clause 15 as defined in Yan Wang's document structure
            + Rafi also asked to provide first draft Architecture overview clause
        - Yan Wang asked to provide proposals for control frame formats, message types for future amendments to Clause 9, Clause 11 and Clause 12
            + propose new control message formats/types for PIRC
            + propose any new ATTs required for attribute idenitfcation

    * Further discussion required by the group:
        - details/proposals on peer/mate status messaging
        - control message timer intervals
 
    * Goal is to have this information ready for presentation at the March 2008 meeting in Orlando.
