[802.3_100GCU] IEEE P802.3bj/D2.3 ballot results and November 2013 Task Force meeting

Task Force Participants,

The IEEE P802.3bj Task Force will be meeting during the IEEE 802 plenary session in Dallas, TX, USA on Tuesday November 12. Registration and hotel information have been posted to the reflector and can also be found via the following link.

The 3rd Working Group recirculation ballot for IEEE P802.3bj/D2.3 closed successfully on October 25. The ballot results have been included at the end of this message for your reference.

The draft has met the requirements for participation rate, abstention rate, and approval rate. No new disapprove votes were received. No comments were received against the draft and as a result there are no changes to be made. Therefore, it has met the criteria for completion of Working Group ballot.

The Task Force meeting will be brief but includes important business. The main item on the agenda will be a motion to request authorization to proceed to Sponsor Ballot. If the motion is successful, there will be a similar motion during the IEEE 802.3 Working Group closing plenary on Thursday afternoon. I would appreciate your attendance and support for these motions.

I also intend to devote some time on the agenda to review the Sponsor Ballot process for those who have not participated in such a ballot before. At this time, I am not aware of any liaisons or communications for the Task Force to consider.

I look forward to seeing you in Dallas.

Best regards,

Adam Healey
