Dear all

My apologies for the very late notice ! The call tomorrow, Tuesday 22nd November,  will be delayed by 1 hour to start at at 10am ? this is  to avoid a conflict with John d?Ambrosia?s Bandwidth ad hoc call.

Following calls will be at 9am, as originally planned.

NOTE: At present  I am unable to see the 100G Next Gen reflector, due to IT issues at Finisar, so please e-mail me directly at jonathan.king@xxxxxxxxxxx

The agenda tomorrow will be fairly open :

10 am                    Roll call

10.05                     IEEE patent policy reminder

10.06 am              Introduction and discussion.

                                Aims of ad hoc

                                Discussion topics may be :

What should be included in a cost model ?

How to reference costs ? cable/module/operations

How to judge value ? is ?link coverage? enough ? is it a linear relationship ?

10.55 am              Closing remarks/actions

11.00 am End

Look forward to discussions with you tomorrow

Jonathan

Subject: 100GNGOPTX - MMF ad hoc telecon- Tuesday 9am PCT, 22 Nov 2011

Dear all ,

Thanks for expressing interest in the MMF ad hoc.

The aim for this ad hoc is to build  consensus around the MMF objectives for the 100G Next Gen Optics Study Group.

Despite my aspirations to use LiveMeeting, calls will, in fact,  be voice only (for the foreseeable future) so presentations will need to be e-mailed out in advance!

Please e-mail presentation requests to me at least 48 hours before each call, and please send the presentation (in pdf format) to the reflector at least 24 hours before each meeting ? preferably earlier.  Thank you !

I?ll try to send out an agenda at least 24 hours before each call.

Meeting details:

The first meeting (tomorrow, Tuesday 22nd November) will be at 10am to avoid a conflict with John d?Ambrosia?s Bandwidth ad hoc call).

Following meetings will be on Tuesday mornings, Pacific time 9am, for one hour (to make the meetings convenient for as many as possible).
