Thanks for the input. There are certainly interesting challenges ahead for the 10GBASE-T TF
and the cabling industry. The measurement and modeling efforts may
demonstrate the need to carefully consider our current assumptions. I underline measurement
here to reinforce the need to validate the models with measurements. Your efforts in this area
will be greatly appreciated.
In regard to cabling definitions, I agree there are differences in terminology used in
a number industry standards that we reference. I'd advise that you work with the groups responsible for
developing the misleading references you mention to help reconcile their differences.
In regard to clause 55 we will endeavor to utilize the appropriate cabling standard references
as well as maintain consistency with the applicable IEEE 802.3 clauses.
