Very strange indeed.  The figure you sent back shows a green section on my machine, labeled "Today's 1 Gb/s downstream (1490 nm)" and the horizontal portion, showing the band per the current 1 Gb/s specification, plus two sloped lines representing the transition region.  There is another note in green with an arrow pointing to the slope, labeled "Today's nominal 50 nm transition (comfortable)"  In retrospect I could have made the transition lines narrower than the passband line in order to differentiate.
 
The blue RF (broadcast) line does show up on what you sent back.  Near the top right.
 
The heights and signal powers do not coincide, as I was not trying to discuss signal powers.  When I tried to reflect more accurate signal power levels, the diagrams became more confusing to me because labels and transitions got in the way of each other.  I may try to improve according to your comments by the time I get to Dallas.
 
I have sent the .pdf version to the reflector, and will attach to this so that you get it before that email is released.

Hi Jim,
Perhaps it will sound strange but that is what I see in the slideshow:
 
No green bands whatsoever. That is why I was asking whether it was my PowerPoint acting up (check on two machines, the same effect).
Concerning the remaining issues - thank You for the clarification. I would like to note that the explanation on the relation between the height of the bands and the signal power does not seem to coincide (see the attached screenshot from PowerPoint) with what I can see on the slide. It is 1 Gbps digital signal band that is much higher than 10 Gbps digital signal band. There is no RF video band, thus I cannot fully confirm whether it is much higher or not.

Sorry for the delay in responding - I had to be out of the office early this morning.
 
I showed some wavelength bands on slide 3 that I didn't show later, brown upstream wavelengths for 1 and 10 Gb/s (I am not addressing upstream in this comment), and for today's downstream (green, also not the subject of this comment, but I wanted to show how wide the filter transition region is today compared with what we are proposing).  Slide 5 and following should show blue for my proposed reduced broadcast (auxiliary) wavelength, and slides 5-6 show brown for the ideal and practical filter passbands for 1577 nm.  Slides 7-8 should show orange for a 1590 nm downstream wavelength.  I will try to convert to .pdf and resend in case there are any issues with power point.  I am having problems with the conversion on my computer, so it may be a few hours before I can send it.
 
Regarding the height of the bands, no, there is no significance to that.  I made them different heights to help distinguish one from another.  I do note, though, that a broadcast optical carrier must arrive at the ONT on the order of 20-25 dB higher than the data carrier.

I have two questions
(1) are slides 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8 complete ? There are some colours in the agenda which do not appear on the slide. Just wondering whether it is only my PowerPoint acting up or something is indeed missing.
(2) what is the meaning of the height of individual bands on slide 3 ? If there is any, what is the scale ?
