[10GMMF] Approval of the Project P802.3aq aka 10GbE on MMF

To members of IEEE 802.3 Working Group and the 10GBASE-LRM Study Group:

I have the great pleasure to announce that on 13 May 2004 the IEEE SA
Standards Board approved the IEEE P802.3aq PAR. 10GBASE-LRM is now the
P802.3aq Task Force.

I also have the great pleasure to formally announce that David Cunningham
has been appointed Chair of the P802.3aq Task Force.

I would like to thank our 802.3 Working Group Chair, Bob Grow, for his help
and counsel in guiding our PAR though the approval process.

I also want to thank the members of the 10GBASE-LRM Study Group for their
ability to rapidly come to consensus on the scope, purpose, five criteria,
and objectives of the project.

We still have a lot of work to do but we are off to a great start.

Thanks

Bruce Tolley
10GBASE-LRM Study Group Chair
