Colleagues and members of the HSSG:

The IEEE P802.3 Higher Speed Study Group has established cabling ad hoc group to
collect detailed information about the installed cabling infrastructure via a
survey.

Please reply to this e-mail if you want to participate in the work of the ad hoc
cabling survey group.

The ad hoc presented a summary of its break-out session and its plan for next
steps at the Coeur d'Alene Interim meeting.  This ad hoc group will present a
draft survey at the next HSSG meeting during the IEEE 802 LMSC Plenary the week
of July 5-9, 1999. At this meeting, the ad hoc group will request that HSSG
members administer the survey to IT managers and other qualfied respondents.
