FW: WAN PHY name

Title: FW: WAN PHY name

Rich,

Below is what I sent to the reflector. Some MS Word auto-numbering, rogue software
out there on the net re-sequenced my clarification, just to re-mystify everyone. In case
it is still lurking and does it again, the LHS lettering should read a, c, d. Sorry.

Rich,

Referring to your list further below:

  1. is a proposal for the (b) effort underway in ANSI/ITU.
  2. is defined in Norival's document at:

  3. This is the only one on your list that is a proposal to P802.3ae.

  4. is a slang industry term with a different interpretation depending on who you are
  5. talking with - it really should not be used.

I hope that clarifies things.
