We had four extra comments come in on time, but were missed as they came in following the TF review path and we’re overlooked.  Apologies for the churn.

Dear Colleagues,

As announced by Mr. David Law, our first P802.3by Working group ballot on D2.0 has completed and closed successfully!

The comments received have now been posted and are available for review at: http://www.ieee802.org/3/by/public/comments/index.html

The editorial team is working on proposed responses and these will be posted when available.  We will be working to close these comments and adopt any changes at the next interim meeting (Sept 17th & 18th in Bonita Springs FL) http://www.ieee802.org/3/25GSG/email/msg00370.html

Thanks for all the time and effort put in by all the reviewers and commenters.  Please consider requesting presentation time at one of the upcoming ad hoc meetings if you would like to share some supporting contributions to help the TF assess your comments.

Regards…Mark

Dear Colleagues,

The initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot on the amendment IEEE P802.3by 25 Gb/s Ethernet closed successfully on 16th August 2015. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The September 2015 IEEE P802.3by Task Force interim meeting <http://www.ieee802.org/3/interims/index.html> will consider the 240 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database will be announced on the IEEE P802.3by Task Force reflector.

An additional comment was received after the ballot closed, this comment will be marked as 'late' in the comment report and will be considered by the IEEE P802.3by Task Force if, based on a vote if necessary, there is no objection to do so.

The ballot statistics are:

278 Voters
111 Approve
  23 Disapprove
   8 Abstain
142 Ballots returned

51.08% Response Rate (> 50% required)
  5.63% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
82.84% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)

Thank you to all that participated in this ballot.

Chair, IEEE 802.3 Ethernet Working Group
