At the January Interim, two ad hocs were created –
· Ad hoc #1 - OIF Liaison Response (Chair – David Ofelt)
o Charter – Provide proposed response to the following OIF Liaison on the 400ZR Project http://www.ieee802.org/3/minutes/jan18/incoming/OIF_to_IEEE_802d3_400ZR_Jan_2018.pdf for consideration at the March 2018 SG Meeting.
o Status – I spoke to David Ofelt, and he said he would work offline with other interested individuals and is not planning a call at this time.
· Ad hoc #2 - Terminology (Chair - D’Ambrosia)
o Charter – Provide definitions for terminology identified by SG on Page 6 of http://www.ieee802.org/3/B10K/public/18_01/dambrosia_b10k_01a_0118.pdf to facilitate clear understanding of terms as related to potential optical objectives of the Study Group, with particular emphasis on terminology related to optical / DWDM technologies.
o Status – conference calls to be scheduled.
In addition to these two ad hocs, the Study Group will hold an ad hoc call to hear further information on the MSO application space.
Given the global participation and all of the different IEEE and industry ad hoc calls, there is limited time for ad hoc calls. The following are the ad hoc calls:
· Feb 13, 7am to 8am PT, Terminology Ad hoc call
· Feb 20 , 7am to 8am PT, Study Group ad hoc call – Topic MSO
· Feb 27, 7am to 8am PT, Terminology Ad hoc call
I will get meeting information sent out shortly with the information posted on the website.
