[802.3_GEPOF] P802.3bv D1.4 Task Force review



Dear Colleagues:

This is the announcement of the electronic IEEE 802.3bv Task Force 5th review on the proposed amendment IEEE P802.3bv Gigabit Ethernet Over Plastic Optical Fiber. The draft includes the comment resolutions from our November meeting, and some general editorial improvements.  Both a clean version of the draft and a comparison document to P802.3bv/D1.3 are posted.  PLEASE ONLY COMMENT ON THE CLEAN VERSION.  Some comment resolutions will not be easily found in the comparison version because of the rearrangement of subclauses.

SCOPE:
As a Task Force review, the scope is the complete IEEE P802.3bv draft.

Saturday, 19th December 2015, 23:59 AOE (anywhere on earth)

Instructions for accessing the draft and submitting comments follow.

HOW TO ACCESS THE DRAFT
The draft is posted for your review for balloting purposes only, and neither the draft nor access information should be copied or redistributed to others in violation of document copyrights.  Please submit comments only against the clean version of the draft (not the comparison document).

The IEEE P802.3bv GEPOF draft D1.4 may be downloaded from:

HOW TO SUBMIT COMMENTS

Acceptable comment types:

E = Editorial
ER = Editorial Required (a binding comment that if we were voting would be part of a DISAPPROVE vote, in WG ballot only appropriate for an IEEE 802.3 voting member)
T = Technical
TR = Technical Required (a binding comment that if we were voting would be part of a DISAPPROVE vote, in WG ballot only appropriate for an IEEE 802.3 voting member)

1. Prepare your comments in one of the following three ways:

a. You are STRONGLY REQUESTED to use the RECENTLY UPDATED comment tool at the URL:

Please note that this tool now asks that comments on the front matter be identified in the clause field as FM.


b. If you are unable to use the above Windows executable, please use the  NEW SPREADSHEET option for comment entry available at the URL:

c.  The least desirable method for comment submission is in text (ASCII) form, please use the form below. Make as many copies of the template as necessary and submit as an ASCII text file or as part of your e-mail.
