[802.3_NGMMF] Reminder of NGMMF Study Group ad hoc call on 2/8 Thursday at 11am Eastern

Dear Colleagues,

 

As previously announced, please remember the NGMMF Study Group Ad Hoc call on 2/8 Thursday at 11am Eastern.

Agenda Topics

1.     Re-cap of Geneva meeting

2.     Goals for Rosemont meeting

3.      Preview contributions for Rosemont

Contributions and input on these topics would be valuable:

a.     Use-cases for 400G over 4 pair vs. 8 pair MMF cabling

b.     Establishing BMP  and DI at 400G over both 4 pair and 8 pair MMF cabling

c.      New information on BMP & TF of 200G over 1 pair MMF

Based on hallway conversation in Geneva, I anticipate that the NGMMF SG will be asked in Rosemont to justify adopting objectives for both 4 pair and 8 pair cabling for 400G.  It is important that the SG hear convincing contributions in March on this topic.
