[BP] Interim Draft IEEE P802.3ap/D0.91 Posted and Available for Review

IEEE P802.3ap Task Force Members,

Per the direction set at the May interim meeting, Interim Draft 0.91 of IEEE P802.3ap has been generated and posted for review.  Thanks to all who contributed to the revision of the draft.

Please note that, as an interim draft, not all of the comment resolutions adopted at the May interim meeting have been fully implemented.  Specifically, the resolution to comments #32, #118, #119, and #128 are not fully represented in this draft, either because content related to adopted resolution was not available in time for the draft release, or because the proper resolution of the comment is pending additional work that is expected to be completed at the June interim session.  These comments will be carried forward and integrated as part of the next revision.

Additional comments may be submitted against interim draft 0.91 using the instructions provided below.

COMMENT PERIOD OPEN:
Monday, 6 June 2005

COMMENT PERIOD CLOSE:
11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time), Wednesday, 15 June 2005

Please note that, to form a technically complete draft, the following items must be brought to closure:

  1. Informative channel model specifications
  2. Receiver interference tolerance methodology, including specific requirements for 1000BASE-KX, 10GBASE-KX4, and 10GBASE-KR
  3. Filling in all placeholders and TBDs

Call to action:  Task Force participants are strongly encouraged to submit proposals to fill in these gaps at the June interim meeting.

Thank you for you careful and thorough review of the document.

Adam Healey, Chair

Schelto van Doorn, Editor

This is a Windows-based run-time database application. Save the compressed zip file to a directory where you wish to uncompress the file. Once you uncompress the file, do not move the directory or any files in the directory as this may prevent the executable program from running properly. Double-click on the executable file (EXE) to run the database application. If this is the first time you have used this comment generation tool, please read the instructions.

NOTE: Use of this tool is greatly preferred, as the output it generates is easy to import into our comment resolution database.
