[802.3AZ] recommended reading for our joint session with 802.1

Folks,

As I mentioned in my last meeting reminder, we will meet for a couple of
hours with the Data Center Bridging Task Group and possibly Audio/Video
Bridging Task Group. I recommend reading the following drafts/proposals
prior to our meeting:

http://www.ieee802.org/1/files/private/au-drafts/d0/802-1au-d0-4.pdf
(latest draft)
http://www.ieee802.org/1/files/public/docs2008/au-pan-qcn-benchmark-sims0108.pdf
(latest proposal not in draft)

http://www.ieee802.org/1/files/private/as-drafts/d1/802-1as-d1-0.pdf

http://www.ieee802.org/1/files/private/at-drafts/d0/802-1at-d0-7.pdf

http://www.ieee802.org/1/files/private/av-drafts/d1/802-1qav-d1-0.pdf

Please contact me if you do not have the login and password for these.

I encourage those who support the various proposals in our Task Force to
review these documents and be prepared to respond to questions and offer
solutions to the issues that come up in this meeting.

Also remember that presentations are due to me in two weeks (Wednesday,
March 12).

I ask that if you plan to offer motions or request straw polls at this
meeting (and future ones as well), please, please think about it in
advance, draft the motion/poll and discuss it with others before
bringing it forward. This process will save us all some time and
frustration. I know nit-picking words is inevitable, but a carefully
thought out motion with input is generally received well and then
discussion is centered on the topic and not the wording.

Regards,

Mike
